Job Description

The Accounts Payable Department is responsible for the processing of supplier invoices and staff expenses. The candidate would assist in the timely processing and payment of invoices V internal and external as well as ensure that Corporate Policies and Procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

‘XReceipt of, logging and initial processing of invoices & staff expense claims

‘XCoding and posting of invoices / staff expense claims in the accounting system accurately and on a timely basis

‘XPreparation of payment runs

‘XRegular review of supplier accounts & employee advances by reconciling with the A/P system

‘XResponding to supplier & employee queries

‘XMaintaining the outstanding invoices report and following up on old items

‘XControlling the processing of invoices using the Aged Creditors Listing

‘XRegularly liaises with the accounting team for problem resolution/clearing of outstanding items

‘XLiaises with internal departments as necessary

‘XAssisting in the coordination and implementation of an automated system for processing of staff advances and invoices

Experience / Qualifications

‘XAccounts Payable experience or experience in an accounting environment

‘XKnowledge of Oracle Financials preferable

‘XHigher education degree

‘XStrong organization skills, precision and attention to detail

‘XAnalytical thinking / aptitude for figures

‘XGood communication skills

‘XCustomer service oriented

‘XTeam player but capable of working independently

‘XFluency in English

Knowledge of Oracle 11i will be preferred.
