Job Description

We are launching a new Travel Magazine with multiple variant formats, including e-magazine, CD-magazine and others. With rich content and user engaging structure, the magazine is expected to become a popular product for travel enthusiasts keen to explore Indian travel destinations. With a booming travel market at this time, we expect this magazine to become a huge success very soon.

The Business Manager is expected to carry the REVENUE TARGETS for the business and to that extent, it’s a position that has direct P&L accountability.

Job Description: The three key deliverables for this candidate are:

1.Pitch to potential advertisers and sponsors for advertising relationships,

2.Work on affiliations and business relationships for co-distribution, co-branding and promotion of the magazine,

3.Set up other regular distribution channels for the magazine.

In addition to these key deliverables, candidate will be expected to closely monitor all promotional efforts so as to ensure adequate cause-and-effect monitoring. The initial foray of the magazine is expected to be largely an electronic one, and therefore, a strong understanding of the Internet and its business models, is very essential.

Candidate should be able to develop business proposals, liaison with clients, attract new clients and evaluate strengths of competitors. Candidate should also be responsible for building the company’s image in market & media. Details of the actual role include:

Meeting clients and giving presentations
