Job Description
We are looking for a person who has good knowledge of Security ( PIX , VPN and Access Control List ) and Data.
The Job responsibilities would be :
Designs and manages an organization’s Network infrastructure. This includes recommending network hardware/new devices which meets an organization’s IT requirements.
Delegates project related tasks to other team members and ensured their successful completion
Provides support to Help Desk for complex/major network problems
Vendor management and related escalations.
Maintains and supports all active network equipments.
Managed software upgrades across all Cisco platforms for all devices in data centres across all locations so as to remediate security vulnerabilities.
Actively works and initiate action plans with IT security team.
Works inline with Network Manager in Infrastructure management execution and completion.
Helps team in understanding network and involves in training activities.
Vastly works on improving the performance and stability of EVS network by continually auditing EVS network designs and configurations.
Ensures all documentation/asset management/Inventory management is complete and updated.
Ensures all devices are running correct versions and time stamps.
Ensure that the network infrastructure provides adequate security for the information stored and processed on it.
Maintenance of ORC’s and understanding business requirement in case of some client specific needs.
Implementing security controls and ensuring monthly/quarterly reviews of network components.
The most important technical skills required would be :
1.Must have VLAN and WAN experience.
2.Must have worked on OSPF , EIGRP , STP , VTP , Static and Dynamic routes also.
2.Must have working knowledge of 7 OSI layers , Subnetting , and Internet , ISP , IPLC , Intersite links.
3.Must have working knowledge of layer2 and layer 3 cisco routers and switches.
Desired series of router : 2600 , 2800 , 1700 , 3662 , 7206.
Desired series of switches : 4500 , 3560 , 2960.
4.Must have very god knowledge of PIX FIREWALL ( Pix 515e ) , VPN , and Access Control List.
