Job Description
Should be competent in tooling, fixtures and gage development. Should have adequate competency in understanding and reviewing of the design of Rubber and Plastic Molds, Casting Tools, Stamping Tools and Gages.
Should have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes of Aluminum Casting, Plastic Molding, Machining, Tubing, Welding and Sheet Metal.
Good understanding of Engineering drawings, tolerances & fits, 2-D & 3-D CAD software and MS Office is essential
Develop APQP documents like PFD/PFMEA/Control Plan, Gage Plan, Standard Cell and other PPAP documents. Should be able to support and guide the supplier’s manufacturing process for production of new parts by thorough APQP execution.
Competent in part inspection, audits, metrology equipments.
Adequate knowledge on Run at Rate (capacity planning and calculations) for supplied parts.
Should be able to support in planning of cell layout, material flow, line balancing, standardized work
Should be well conversant with TS16949 & ISO 14001 certifications.
Should be conversant with Lean Manufacturing Principles, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban & Pull System.
Should be very sound in Problem solving analysis and follow up with suppliers for corrective actions.
Good knowledge in manufacturing Process audits, Product audits and QMS audits.
